Santiago Dellape

Santiago Dellape has directed films since 2006, when the short No Record, his graduation project at the University of Brasília, launched his career. In 2010 he directed Big Rat, voted Best Film by the Popular Jury at the 38th Gramado Film Festival, and over the following decade he also directed the shorts Ana Beatriz, Plan B and Sexy Fi, A Small Dictionary of the Streets. In 2016 he directed his first feature, Punch the Clock, a science fiction comedy inspired by classic Brazilian comedy and films like The Goonies and Back to the Future, awarded a Special Jury Mention at the 37th Fantasporto in Portugal and released in Brazilian theaters in 2018. The film led to two coproductions with Globo, the TV movies Half a Day Off, in 2017, and Santa's Half Day Off, in 2018, broadcast to over 30 million viewers in 77 countries. In 2023 he directed the short Valley of Souls, awarded by the Popular Jury at the Brasília Film Festival, and he is preparing two new features for 2026, the action comedy O Verão da Lata and the children's film Marcos e Arnaldo. Over his career he has received more than 90 awards.
