We give special attention to development: preserving the director's vision while refining the project's positioning and packaging, structuring the resources it needs, and building co-production, partner and distribution strategies from an early stage.

D-DAY
“Brazil has three directors, and none of them interests me. What else do you have to offer?”
In the early 2010s, during a dinner in São Paulo, one of the most influential American producers asked this question to a Brazilian producer seeking alliances to bring our productions to the international market. That phrase reinforced a conviction: the world still does not know the creative strength of Brazilian directors.
Baablon exists to produce and co-produce films by Brazilian directors and create the conditions for their works to break through international market barriers.
We work to expand the presence, circulation and connections of Brazilian directors and works, in Brazil and worldwide.
We contribute to film policy, market initiatives and cultural diplomacy with Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Our film course and other training initiatives expand knowledge, practice and opportunities for new filmmakers.
Projection, policy, diplomacy and training strengthen the environment where directors and works develop, and return to production as better, more competitive films, prepared to travel further.
